C3′s Loli Degrades Herself For Sales

Apr 25, 2012 @ 14:45 CDT

C3′s fifth Blu-ray incites a river of controversy as the cover illustration of this sub-par supernatural action series with no overly explicit material exhibits the loli heroine with her shirt lifted up – nipples partially visible.

And they’re quite nice as well – although it’s clear to anyone that an art piece as this is an inappropriate marketing tactic. It’s not particularly successful either – at least not in the case of C3, as this anime certainly isn’t breaking any sales records, nor is anything of the sort foreseen any time soon. C3 boasted some erotically lovely cover artwork in the past – although this is by far the most obscene, as again, the more sensitive areas of her breasts are visible, and this simply looks outright like the cover of an adult only doujin work.

It’s not even that her oppai are visible, but her shirt is blatantly lifted up whilst she spreads her legs – holding one of her black stocking wrapped thighs up with her left hand, and using her right to pull at the string of her pantsu so it can come slipping off with ease. The series could truly be no more flagrant than this – it doesn’t even attempt to have one of those convenient situations where X and Y is happening which leads a female’s body to be revealed, C3 is just disgracing itself for money.

Our blue haired loli heroine is now the equivalent of a prostitute – and there’s sadly no recovery for an anime when it reaches a point this low. It’s hard to grasp how the manga can fantastically succeed in portraying skin exposure with elegance – yet the anime seems only intent on continually belittling our cute loli for profit, even well after its concluded.

Unfortunately, the damage done is not something any more of these provocative art pieces will solve – at this rate, Silver Link may as well make a second season of this series and have be it a cuter version of Queen’s Blade.

I watched the anime one year ago, but the pictures placed in each cover are more ecchi than the title itself.

It definitely is – the anime certainly contains ecchi, but the Blu-ray covers look akin to a hentai.

I was very disappointed that this series took a downfall storywise, and even more so when I noticed the trend of lacking artwork on merchandise, and overly suggestive illustrations as this.

I liked this show, even when it started going nowhere, as I wasn’t expecting anything going in. Liked the art, the exotic stuff on inquisition etc and of course Fear in-cube.
The artwork on the Blu-ray is certainly intense, but wouldn’t bother me if I was a potential customer having seen the show.

I truly enjoyed the concept and I really wanted to love the anime – although it is far too flawed. I still admire the manga however as well as the studio behind the anime.

If only it had been better executed however, it would have effortlessly been a major hit. At least there’s still an extra episode to come with the last Blu-ray.

Yeah agreed, as a TV anime it fell short in execution and planning. It’s good to hear the source material is stronger, however, and a season two can’t be worse if they were ever to make one.

Seeing how bad this first run was, you’re probably correct – I don’t think it could get any worse if they tried. I really wish they would actually put effort towards a second season – the ending was open and there was potential, it just wasn’t used.

I mainly liked the show for
    1. Pretty silver link art
    2. Great seiyuu casting
    3. Fairly epic music

Those three things alone are enough for me to watch a season 2

So here’s hoping that Fear’s exposure brings in massive sales lol
