Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Mercedes

Apr 3, 2012 @ 18:08 CDT

With a new day, another itasha is contracted to serve otaku inside Akihabara’s famed UDX parking lot – a Mercedes CLK luxury vehicle was themed out in favor of Madoka Magica’s arcane and colorful mahou shoujos.

High quality wrapping sheets were prepared and applied to the exterior of this lavishing vehicle in fairly exquisite taste to match – a Mercedes CLK is quite a slick ride on the inside and outside alike, making for what is truly an ideal canvas for some Madoka character artwork. This variant of Mercedes’ C Class specifically provides a truly well shaped exterior for illustrations as it is a coupe with unique and attractive contour – the absence of two doors giving a grand amount of expendable space, and overall making for fine aesthetics in conjunction with the banners.

One can see that some notable thought was put into this itasha as the hood is adorned by Madoka’s elegant white outfitted rendition – which of course, is very suitable atop the vehicle’s identical white coat of paint, and also successful in sustaining a sense of grace due simply to the color selection. Not to mention, this makes for a splendid contrast of pink through Madoka’s pastel hued hair – and excellent as well is the arrangement of Madoka off to the right side of the hood, a balance of thirds which lures the eye to a specific point of attention.

Not a seam is visible as the sheet was plastered on perfectly – blending in with the vehicle, now turned itasha, as if it were directly painted on. Likewise, the sides are impressive as well – one of which sports the magical girls in their relevant frilly outfits, whilst the other, exhibiting their more modest seifuku attire. Similarly to the hood, there’s no addition of patterns or other intricacies – it’s a simple focus on the characters to a delicate background, making for a sentimental outlook which is charming and nostalgic.

Differing from the usual flashier itashas in more ways than one, this car certainly provides a nice representation of Madoka and friends not nearly as often seen.

Hum.. That’d be a good pick for the car I’ll be buying this year. That is, if I had the money xD I’d still prefer an Audi but I can deny that that thing, sir, is pretty awesome.

Quite awesome indeed – what is not nearly so awesome is that a Mercedes CLK is priced around $80K USD.
