Lacking mech action anime Rinne no Langrange has been confirmed to be receiving an OVA atop of its second season – certainly making for some terrible news as more of this series is not a good thing.
In spite of Rinne no Langrange’s excess of blatant female exposure, inconsistency with the manga, and censored Blu-ray, Xebec has confirmed a second season for this series nearly as soon as it began – and now they’ve also confirmed an OVA for June 23rd. It’s as if they think this is actually an anime with substance, deserving or requiring such additional installments – yet it certainly does not, and even the frames of imagery accompanying the announcement do a wonderful job of showcasing such as it highlights the lack of coherence or coordinated plot.
In other words, the series is literally as seen below – some random school activity, the heroine twirls her finger around, then she fights things in her robot. The only aspect which was excluded however is the part where the girls all strip nude for no apparent reason.

I can believe that, only watched the first ep for ecchi scenes. Guess the Japanese love turds right now.

I watched a few episodes but got sick of having to start over each episode several times before finishing since I’d always fall asleep – dropped it.

Same here I only managed to complete three episodes myself.

It’s such a poorly done series – I’m convinced that Production IG is not only dead, but all their subsidiaries are as well. Though to be fair, it’s not like Xebec ever managed to make many good animes to begin with.

What? It’s not that bad. It’s pretty entertaining if you think a little to understand the plot.

The plot itself is very weak – most of it is propelled by things like “for the Jersey Club!”, which is not a legitimate reasoning. What is the “Jersey Club”? Why is the heroine so motivated to do anything? How does this schoolgirl magically become an expert mech pilot who can defeat everyone? There’s no logic or purpose behind anything done, it’s a mess of spontaneous nonsense with a facade of plot.
I’ve come across a rare few people tell me they like it, and so far none of them did so for the story – if you like it for the plot, I’m honestly interested in hearing why if you don’t mind explaining.

Yes I agree. I also would like to know if there was a reason the MC was such a workaholic and why she was so compatible with “alien” tech?

And the worst part about it is the series’ first season is just about over and it’s still gone nowhere.

The story looks so generic and has something very retarded like “let’s go to the Jersey Club” and the romance do not happen at all besides some yuri subtext.

“let’s go to the Jersey Club”
If you add that subtitle to a picture of yuri, then you have the entire series.
