Aquarion EVOL’s dramatic war of love begins to fervor like solar flares off the sun – a serenity of affection is established only to quickly be brought to turmoil by jealously in the hero’s romance triangle.
Within this episode of Aquarion EVOL, our hero’s admirable friend by name of “Andy” comes up with yet another scheme to enjoy time with the ladies of the series – he hopes to invite Amata and his imouto fetish object of love to join him and his own companion in romance, a tsundere character with a “big bang” for a sleep over. Yet while sharing the matter with Amata, Amata slips up – inviting the fifth wheel of the party, Zessica, who despite her scantily attire, enormous oppai, and adorable lack of height, is not any single man’s amorous interest.
Even worse for little Zessica, while her beloved Amata-kun may occasionally have his eyes on her breasts, when it comes to romance, his sight is exclusively on the imouto fetish character, Mikono. With this screw up, Andy’s plan gradually becomes more complex and grand – till finally, the entire academy is invited. It becomes a school-wide affair which will see Shrade performing, a showing of the remedial film our hero and his imouto fetish lover happen to like, and then end in some extravagant sleeping over after everyone enjoys food and the usual party accessories.
However, while that all seems relatively straightforward, calamity is to soon arrive. Surely one hasn’t forgotten the deranged red haired lunatic who has set out for the academy last episode – and what’s worse, it seems the blonde haired fellow dubbed “Jin” is having trouble taming his loli love interest. Indeed, it seems the lolicon lifestyle is quite difficult as the loli is far too sensitive to any action – and Jin’s own shyness for that matter isn’t aiding his progression, though admittedly, it is what made the loli like him to begin with.
In any case however, during the preparations for the gathering, Jin receives a sudden transmission from his home planet – it’s presumably to warn of the impending idiot coming his way, however the communication line is cut, and Jin never manages to get any useful information out of it. Yet as he was speaking, the loli happened to overhear him – prompting the occurrence of a situation plain ridiculous.
One will not be too sure what happens here, yet as the loli spots Jin speaking on his electronic device, he turns to look at her in a feverish shock – only for her to look back all the same, however with a far more horrified face, as if she were about to be beaten by a father with abusive tendencies. The loli keeps up the small, scared, and defenseless look as she runs off a bit – then stops to look at Jin in fear for no comprehensible reason, before yelling “No” needlessly accented and dashing off again in terror. Once more, almost as if she were expecting to be abused.
Of course however, she’s simply carrying out the typical emotional display of a loli, albeit highly exaggerated – and afterward, Jin makes up with her, receiving the sight of a cute teary-eyed face in the process. All continues along as per the pre-planned events of the day – yet not too long into the festivities, the much anticipated idiot makes his undesired appearance, successfully ruining what would have been a romantic night.
The subsequent course to follow here is quite clear – fancy mech battles, flaming text, loli action, and a fact mildly intriguing as the preview for next episode shows, Shrade will be playing the melodies of Aquarion once more. Overall, considering this is “Aquarion EVOL”, it was a fairly enjoyable episode – a bishoujo service minimum was met, lolis were seen, and story was somewhat there. A good job was done.
