An elemental workshop.

Any who have seen Madoka Magica know that the busty magical girl, Mami, happens to have quite an impressive chest – yet as it turns out, advanced analysis proves her oppai are the same size as Sayaka’s.

An otaku took the height of our heroine Madoka, 152cm, and utilized that number alongside official key art illustrations of the characters to formulate a full chart of data regarding each mahou shoujo’s height, waist, and bust size, among a few more arbitrary statistics – ultimately ending up with identical numbers for the oppai of both Mami and Sayaka.

Another otaku decided to try the same method under a different metric, and received the same result – matching bust sizes for Mami and Sayaka as seen in the third row, columns one and four of both comparison images. Thus, while Sayaka doesn’t show it – there’s no denying proven science, her oppai are identical in size to the massive pair Mami brings to the series of magical girl affairs.

Wow, those are huge news to me. I mean, that is. A news. The news is huge is what I meant.

I could have continued this show if Mami was killed by something less clown like.

It is clear that bust size in anime is completely variable. She doesn’t seem to have such a big chest in official art illustrations.

The interesting aspect in these is that they are official key illustrations – meaning the very basics of the characters which the staff goes off of.

However, yes, I agree with you – ultimately even if a female character’s bust appears to be X size in Y artwork, that could depend on various factors, and ultimately, unless the production studio themselves release a character’s three sizes, determining specifics for second dimensional oppai isn’t normally going to bear very consistent results.

  • …Somewhere out there, a field of melons is feeling respectably inadequate right about now.

Sorry, but those estimates are completely off. This is an official height range chart: http://wiki.puella-magi.net/File:PN_10.jpg. The exact number on heights are wrong. Even relative heights are wrong. Like you can see for instance Mami is slightly taller than Homura in the official chart, yet the fans who made up the numbers thought Homura was taller.

    • Seven says:

The point here isn’t how tall everyone is.

Madoka is 152cm, that is fact and not a secret, a 2channer took that number and used it as a standard to determine the remaining lengths of other areas within the first chart, which are the various lines he drew for reference. And as it turns out, Mami and Sayaka have the same bust width using this method.

Someone else tried according to their own numbers, most of which have no meaning here aside from breast size.

Perhaps other factors may affect their breasts which would ultimately change this – who knows, however the numbers relevant to us are Madoka’s height, and bust sizes, leading back to something I already mentioned on another comment.

The point I’m making is with the one known factor of heights, the 2ch fans were incorrect in even visually guessing relative heights, which makes guesses on other numbers, such as bust size, equally likely to be erroneous.

In any case, I don’t care about speculation but it’s come up repeatedly that these fan guesses at heights are incorrectly noted as official heights like this 159cm for Homura here: http://myanimelist.net/character/38005/Homura_Akemi The birth date is also false, though I’m unsure where that originates.
