The official site of Madoka Magica’s PSP game has added a “special” section which currently consists of only a teaser image of Mami in pop idol garbs, complete with microphone, and the date March 15th.
Aside from the above mentioned, there’s not a single hint or clue given as to what this still is intending to promote – nor does it honestly make much sense on its own. Madoka Magica, the original series, is in absolutely no way related to singing, dancing, or anything of the J-pop universe – thus surely whatever this is to come, it’s of course not part of the main story, though one still wonders how exactly did we go from fighting obscure creatures with the hopes of saving the world, to being on stage singing.
In any case, we’ll find out March 15th, or perhaps before then even – and on another note, Mami does quite attractive in her pop idol gear.
