An OVA for “Another” has been announced, and the new character has been revealed – she’s Misaki’s cousin, Misaki Fujioka, who will debut in the OVA which shall follow the past of both her, as well as our Mei-chan.
As can be seen, Fujioka is equally as adorable as our Mei-chan, offering a non-goth rendition of the moe which Misaki provides – one can also see that the hairstyle Misaki has is apparently some sort of genetic trait as her cousin has it as well. Yet on a serious note, there’s no further details on the OVA aside from the aforementioned – however there is many a question as, of course, we’re all curious what sort of relationship Mei shared with her outgoing and adorable cousin aside from one of family, as well as how is it she came to experience a horrible death.
There’s no release date set – and the hype machine has been filled with high octane gasoline.

Allow me to be clear. It’s not that I dislike the fact that Mei has only a single eye; rather I’m quite fond of her dichromatic eyes, fake or not. If she took off her eyepatch more and showed even a modicum of pride in it, this wouldn’t even be a conversation.
Bearing this in mind however, when you’ve one that looks almost exactly like Mei, but seemingly has a more outgoing and charming presence about her, that’s what makes a more clear distinction between her and her cousin.
Mei is cute and a near embodiment of moe, no question about it, but it’s just that I don’t feel she’s being shown to quite her full potential… well, at least not yet.

Didn’t intend to imply you don’t like dichromatic eyed shoujos, if that’s how it seemed, rather I was pointing out my seemingly new fetish for such females over those with outgoing personalities. Though your point remains quite highly agreeable.
