The first Wonder Festival of 2012 gets a lot more wonderful as more spectacular figures are on showcase – yet not just that, most of them haven’t been hinted in the slightest, making for a fantastic surprise.
Amongst the many upcoming releases already highlighted from the major players, there still remains more revealed by the big names in figure production – and forgetting not the average otaku, many of them as well were showing off their garage kit creations, as well as some simply sweet items which any self-respecting admirer of the second dimension is sure to envy, such as a divergence meter no different than that seen in Steins;Gate, accuracy at a level of artistry.
Looking at the latest from the heavy hitters, one will see Alter boasting some of their creations uncolored – Yuru Yuri’s Mirakurun appears with a pose divine in how vivacious and true to the lively mahou shoujo persona it is, and beside her, yet another figure with vigor in its plastic PVC based blood, Hanasaku Iroha’s cute heroine Ohana. Alter looks to be truly maximizing their sculptures to the very pinnacle of what they’re capable of as implied by the extraordinary poses which are almost ridiculing the other figure manufacturers.
The competition however is strong, GoodSmile Company is preparing to bring out a nendoroid for every Nichijou character – not to mention, a full army of chibi-sized plastic characters from many a series, alongside a sexy Menma of AnoHana in mizugi. And this is simply adding to much of what was previously shared by the company. Do be sure to see as well the ridiculously incredible “Insane” Black Rock Shooter Figma they’re offering with the purchase of the series’ eight episode anime Blu-ray limited edition box set.
The Figma alone looks to be worth the price of the set as this insane version of our beloved Black Rock Shooter makes quite a display of power – a massive weapon, being equipped by a female with a look which incites fear, yet still remains all so dangerously attractive.
Indeed there’s a reason this festival is so wondrous – feel free to continue ogling through the vast collection of otaku paraphernalia below:
