Recorder to Randoseru returns unshakably awesome in comedy, as well as cute lolis, for the third spectacle in a row – much like the last episode, the loli sister is more of the main focus, allowing for moe on a grand scale.
Starting with the ever-critical scene of our manly 11 year old practicing his recorder by a riverbank, the episode then legitimately begins at the school of his loli sister Atsumi. Whilst enjoying lunch time during an average day of school, Atsumi is constantly doted by her voluminous chested friend as her friend feels Atsumi is simply all so adorable – a belief which any can agree with. For a 17 year old highschool shoujo, she looks like a lovable little loli character.
One aspect to mention, and one quite difficult to ignore indeed, is that similarly to how Atsumi and Atsuhi, our oddly sized siblings contrast each other in physical development, likewise is Atsumi’s friend a stark opposite of Atsumi in terms of appearance. Her oppai are enormous and she’s a fairly well shaped bishoujo – unlike the fragile framework of our loli. Not to mention, even their more specific features, such as hair, differs – whereas Atsumi’s friend sports a lusciously long and sleek mane, Atsumi merely has short locks, with opposing colors to top it all.
This voluptuous female treats Atsumi as if she were both a child and a pet – hugging her and feeding her, all whilst making some interesting facial expressions, until the two arrive on the topic of what sort of male would they find attractive. As of course, any male would love to have a a loli or bishoujo of their own, it’s shown that all the males of the class are desperately eavesdropping in on the conversation.
Speaking first, the bishoujo states she’d like a man a good amount taller than herself – a criteria which incidentally leaves none qualified but our 11 year old recorder playing protagonist who she even goes on to fantasize about a bit. Atsumi also admits to liking taller men as well – stating she’d prefer someone at least taller than herself, yet that basically means anyone has a chance. And to conclude this installment, we see the elementary schooler himself sneezing as someone, somewhere, is talking about him – a classic Japanese myth.
Although certainly it’s comical that Atsumi’s sexy friend has a crush on Atsuhi, and relatively understandable as well considering his appearance, he remains no more than an elementary schooler – thus she’s simply a shota lover, yet that’s all the more reason to admire this series as one is left simultaneously laughing and curious as to how these complicated circumstances will play out.
