A magazine has revealed that the first episode of upcoming winter anime Amagami SS+, a sequel to the popular harem romance series, will initiate with bathing service and nudity of both genders concurrently.
Shown above are several scenes of what to anticipate with the first episode of this harem anime – the most prominent of all of course being the shameless lack of modesty as the two leading characters of conflicting sex enjoy some time slightly too intimate together. Looking at the slightly smaller still just under that, it seems otaku will not have to wait beyond episode one for the much coveted oppai service to begin.
Amagami SS+ is to be a direct sequel of its equally as female emphasizing predecessor:
Two years ago, Tachibana Junichi got his heart broken by a girl who didn’t show up for a date on Christmas Eve. Now a second year student in high school, Junichi spends his days inside his closet planetarium, going to school and hanging out with his friends Tanamachi Kaoru and Umehara Masayoshi.
After a chance encounter with one of the most beautiful girls in school, the third year student Morishima Haruka, Junichi finds himself spending time with her, carrying books for her or having her unexpectedly jump on his back and act as she’s a jockey and he’s her horse. Soon enough, Junichi becomes romantically interested in Haruka which leads to…
Although doing nothing out of the generic harem anime formula, Amagami has a relatively respected reputation amongst otaku – far more so than other series of the same genre. While we don’t anticipate this to be revolutionary, or anywhere near that sort, it will likely be satisfying without fail to those who have enjoyed season one of the series – which in that case, would indicate they don’t mind conventional harem.

I think overall, it is a fairly solid anime. Not spectacular or anything, though not too bad.

I consider Amagami SS as the “socialist” harem series; where everybody wins, but they just need to wait their turn (except for Junichi of course, who wins every time). But this series did break the usual harem game to anime issue where all the arcs are mesh into one, only for the “main” girl winning by default in the end. Amagami’s setup not only allow each girl to shine in their arc, but did not toss anyone into a black hole after their arc was completed (see Kanon and Clannad). I just hope SS+ will at least meet expection and do at least as well as the original.

That’s a nice way to put it, and agreed – in fact, it’s hard to think SS+ could even do anything more than meet the original as it’s not got that much impact to begin with.
