Coming soon with 2x the ecchi of its predecessor is JRPG strategy game Hyperdimension Neptunia MK2 – releasing February of 2012, this fantasy world lets you skirmish with cute 2-D female characters.
Improving on its forerunner, this game is to allow a free-roaming battle system so players can make the most of every stratagem in mind. Not only that, the combo system has been amped for faster execution of combo maneuvers – a facet far nicer when considering the all new item synthesis system which allows for the creation of items and weapons as you so desire. To actually take advantage of this all, a guild system has been implemented which makes handling multiple missions simultaneously a simple task.
Hyperdimension Neptunia MK2 summarizes up to be fairly straightforward in comparison to its complex name:
Return once more to the world of Gamindustri, where the Criminal of the Free World, Arfoire, has defeated the four CPUs of Gamindustri. It is now up to their younger sisters to free them from captivity.
Nepgear, the CPU Candidate of Planeptune and younger sister to Neptune, sets out on her quest with IF and Compa to regain Gamindustri’s prosperity, stop the syndicate of evil that Arfoire created, and set her sister free! During her travels across the world, Nepgear will encounter friends new and old, meet the other CPU Candidates, and take care of any monsters that stand in her way in this classic JRPG tale of good versus evil!
If this all sounds up to your taste, there’s but a single aspect of disappointment for a few – this adventure of hyperdimensional status is exclusive to Sony’s PS3 system.
The game looks to be quite otaku friendly, boasting colorful moe on the front cover in creative clothing of a futuristic theme. Adjusting attention to the gameplay stills, one can see it sports the highly revered seifuku, along with the ambitious mahou shoujo dress, and several other unique outfits ranging from combat oriented, to eyecandy. Each character wields a weapon of destructive technology which they themselves have crafted.
Below we’ve made available two trailers, each of which introduces you to the characters that will be playable and effectively adorable nuclear weapons at your disposal for all matters of fictional war and loli service.

This game looks great – a fun change of pace from the usual where you can simply pick up and enjoy yourself even if you’re losing (thanks to the visuals and characters), as well as remain competitive without getting nearly as angered or upset as one normally would when not doing nearly as well in games of a similar genre.
And on another note, those environments are quite impressive – not to mention, the girls…

I’ve been interesting in this series ever since the first one released. The sequel looks like a great improvement and it has a “yuri” system.
I’m sold.

The yuri alone is overwhelming – they know their audience well.
