Idolmaster Identity Theft Only $15

Dec 7, 2011 @ 12:27 CDT

Otaku can now purchase a replica of the glasses worn by current producer, and former female idol of the iDOLM@STER, Ritsuko – as well as a stuffed animal as seen held by presumptuous loli Iori.

At a meager 1,260 yen or approximately $15 USD, Ritsuko’s megane are not too expensive, neither is Iori’s stuffed animal at $33 – that still is a bit more than what one would expect to pay, unless the quality is absolutely superb, yet either way, both are much more reasonably priced than the magical plastic staff of Mirakurun from Yuru Yuri.

I don’t see what makes these glasses special. They look really nothing different from normal glasses. Well glasses for 15 dollars are cheap, but it’s only an item for cosplay, won’t last a while.

    • Seven says:

The special aspect is they’re a perfect replica of Ritsuko’s glasses from the iDOLM@STER – though I wonder of the quality, they could be really poor in that respect.

      • Sentum says:

Well the form is quite common, I think you could find something almost identic, well yeah the cost would be 3-10 times bigger.

        • Seven says:

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen some like that – as you’ve said, there’s honestly not much to them besides the price, although the frame is a little more fashionably curved than most.

  • ShadowJetX says:

Ristuko is what the Idolm@ster is all about.

    • Seven says:

Haruka & P-san for the win.

After all from what I’ve seen in the anime series, it does seems like Haruka is the best character in the showcase. She is always helping her friends out with such a spectacular high spirit and always being positive.

While Haruka is very likeable and amazing, we all know that Miki Miki is the Truth.

          • Seven says:

Miki Miki is certainly attractive, though none can top Haruka-tan.

            • Anonymous says:

Haruka is the main character, if you look at how centralized her role is. She’s always in the center of the opening, and she’s got the most screentime too in general.

Though my love goes to Yayoi and her cute fluffy twin tails.

              • Seven says:

I know she’s the main character – though it’s not for her protagonist credentials which I like her.

  • liberator says:

Now that they have started this, might as well try the following as well…
    Haruka’s Twin Ribbons
    Futami twin’s hairtie(?)
    Kotori’s Yellow Headband
    Producer-san’s two piece suit
