The battle between highschool students for half-priced bento ceases within this latest episode of Ben-to – instead offering a dish of yuri service, complete with appetizers, as well as all finer aspects of the female body.

Seitokai pres, Ume Shiraume, has never before been featured in an episode besides taking Satou to heaven with her fists, or bathing all nude with Oshiroi, a flat-chested childhood friend she has quite a yuri obsession for. And considering these two aspects of fighting and yuri to be her specialty, it would simply be downright inappropriate to focus on anything else in an episode centered around her.

Within only a moment after the episode starts, it’s quickly made clear bento will not be a part of this episode of Ben-to as Asebi pays Satou a visit with a home-made bento – one which Satou comes to determine tastes so horrid, he labels a “Taste Deconstruction Bento”. This moment in which the bentos no longer boast their delectable zest means something is surely out of the ordinary. And these ambiguities are as we come to see, no more than excessive yuri service and copious oppai in abundance.

Last episode, we were introduced to two new characters – twin sisters both named Kyo Sawagi, whom at a first glance look like a couple of lolis serving merely as members of the Student Council of their school. However they were quickly revealed to be wolves who shared a similar obsession as Ume – yet crave a different target, the Ice Witch.

Yet in light of their similarities, there is also conflict between the two schools as a result of recent events mostly involving Satou, and his cousin Shaga, otherwise known as the “Beauty by the Lake”, which ultimately resulted in Ume’s embarrassment – as well as the Sawagi sisters learning more about the rivaling wolves.

After taking out her frustration on Satou, viewers got treated to the beginning of where this episode really starts.

Contrary to the fortune of remedial censored service series to be found this year, Ben-To shows how service is properly done – pulling out all the stops to entice fans. Wave after tsunami wave of ecchi goodness floods the eyes of otaku viewing as result of a misunderstood video call to a rather flushed Oshiroi – of whom was writing erotic novels at the time. Ume does not hold back her reasons for calling her, and implies that she simply wanted to see her intellectually faced loli.

Surprised by Ume’s confident stance, Oshiroi overreacts – knocking over coffee and her whole room in the process, afterwards fainting on the bed when she damaged her laptop, thus losing progress of her current work of popular perverse factual-fiction, one which was once again inspired greatly by Satou.

However, Oshiroi awoke to a smiling stalker of a seitokai pres who was simply happy for her well-being. Unwillingly is she undressed of pantsu and all else as she lay unconscious, wrapped instead into something more fitting of being on a bed, alone with another female who has some obvious erotic intent emanating in her actions.

Ume also exclaimed having checked her temperature all the while mounting Oshiroi on the bed, spoon feeding her home-made bento – which did not desconstruct her taste, and even goes lengths as to insist upon wiping every last bit of sweat off of Oshiroi’s delicate body to “prevent acne”, even undressing herself in the process to try and make Oshiroi feel more comfortable. Much to Ume’s dismay, in attempts to break free, Oshiroi knocks over an intriguing book of manly proportions, Ume picks it up only to find Satou’s face plastered over every single one of the humky men, and leaves Oshiroi’s house without so much a word.

The day after, Satou unsurprisingly bumps into Ume and is confronted with allegations of being a pervert as well as having the book she found, thrown into Satou’s face, he also dropped a masochistic DVD which literally got forced upon him by a classmate of his just before his destined beating, not helping his situation in the least. Though while Satou was is quite literally getting beaten to a pulp, he also expresses a brief glimpse of glee at the same time.

Ones thing’s for certain though, as we watch each episode, Satou is ever more living up to his wolf title as “Hentai” – which translates to pervert in case you’re pretending not to already know.

Next episode, nothing was particularly revealed apart from a sneezing Ice Witch – she mentioned about the superstitions behind sneezing, having sneezed four times, asking viewers what it means. Whether this was just a random outro to give our female protagonist some air time, one is left to ponder if the superstitions behind the fourth sneeze, will hold any truth to the next episode.

I wish my bento came packed with oppai.

  • Is it selfish of me to want Satou to give that Ume chick one really nice smack upside the head?

Ben-To’s quite tasty (I guess I’m a fan of Ume in a way, heh, heh) Nice going on you review, chico! [>_<] b

lesbo love is in the air.. gotta love this episode!

  • alan says:

i love Ben-to, not for the little service it has but because the story is pretty funny, and i agree with Seven, i wish my bento came with oppai but not big ones

No Ryan Ashlight it is not. I’m fine with her not being part of Satou’s harem, being full yuri but her constant no consequence one sided beatings of Satou are annoying and no fanservice level below full on hentai will make me tolerate her or this episode. If he ever beats her to the point that she bleeds from every hole (it’s disgusting but I hate her) she’s got then I will watch the whole series.

  • Shrubbery says:

I somewhat agree with Anonymous about Ume’s one-sided beatings of Satou. Initially it was funny, not being fully aware of Ume’s yuri nature. Now, it’s plain downright annoying. Much as I, ahem, enjoy seeing a guy beaten up by a gal in anime, enough’s enough. However, I wouldn’t advocate Satou “manning up” to Ume either. Perhaps deep down You’s a masochist?

  • Hawkward says:

She was happy to step over Oshiroi (literally) in the bridge to episode 2, so I totally can’t blame you for that perspective XD Ume’s just getting obssessive and annoying, she she needs is to get beaten up, by an outside character. Then Satou comes to the heroic rescue and ta-daa~ they make amends.

In short, while I enjoyed this episode for it’s rather obvious reasons, Ben-To now has a lot to prove, if it’s to get back on track with the rivalling schools, and the fight for half-priced bento.

  • Shrubbery says:

I say Asebi the Jinx taking out Shiraume – that’ll be funnier.

  • kamihimmel says:

    Satou is a M.That’s all.

  • Shrubbery says:

Episode 10 was good. Yes, Satou’s truly an M. The Ice Witch gets the stuffing beaten out of her, but I look forward to Orthros getting their butts whooped in the near future.
