Our friendless series of season, seems to certainly admire Ore no Imouto as they reference the anime quite a bit – besides the obvious comment of Sena, the Oreno cast is referenced directly by name.
Haganai is summing up to be a bit strange in more ways than one – looking beyond the story, music, and all else which already pique our interests, the series was found to have a direct quote from Steve Jobs plastered onto the cover of an eroge in an episode, and now within the latest entry of episode five, blatantly lists the characters by name of the series with little sister nudity.
It’s worth mentioning Sena references Ore no Imouto as well when she states “there’s no way your little sister can be that cute!” – also found in the fifth episode. There’s no apparant reason as to why Haganai has so many bizarre references unusual for an anime, yet it may prove to be a scheme to recruit more buddies.
In all honesty, all these allusions are actually making the series feel somewhat creepy – who knows what other minor details unsuspecting otaku could be missing. One might even wonder as to whether the overly energetic and hyper opening sequence theme contains any accelerated acoustics, i.e. subliminal messages, to theoretically fret over in a conspiratorial fashion.

Omg look at episode 11 in Haganai at 4:30 and you see the regular Oreimo group walking around at a festival. Cant believe i saw that but its worth checking out ;)
