High School DxD’s Showy PV

Oct 21, 2011 @ 0:48 CDT

With all of the near unparalleled awesomeness the current anime season has brought, it’s certainly easily to overlook what’s to come. Look forward we must though, and so in that grand spirit we shift our eyes to upcoming ecchi series, High School DxD – one which serves as a nostalgic reminder to that timeless classic, Yu Yu Hakusho.

…Well, at least in the respect that its lead protagonist dies right at the start.

If you’re not familiar with the series, please take a moment to read its basic synopsis:

The story follows Issei Hyōdō, a dim-witted, lecherous second-year high school student who is killed by a girl on his first date ever. Issei is reincarnated as a devil, and from that day forward, he serves as an underling of Riasu, a high-level devil who is also the prettiest girl on Issei’s campus.

Interesting, indeed. Ah, but certainly this isn’t enough to tell us what we need to know. Perhaps this recently released, slightly saucy PV will help to shed some light on this matter:

…Alright, so this is obviously taking a very different route from the aforementioned. Different and quite a bit sexier, we might add.

Good? Bad? We don’t know yet, but High School DxD’s unusual approach into what might otherwise be tossed aside as merely yet another conventional harem theme could prove to be entertaining. With plenty of beauty and action to tickle our fancy, there’s no telling what could happen with one young man’s journey into the cold hand of death… or in this case the beautiful hand of a bishoujo.
