Psychotic yandere anime Mirai Nikki is gathering spectators for its survival game through usage of panel based propaganda – the players are advertised individually in full color amongst 12 panels.
Each panel is not merely a parade of pleasing artwork, they each come with written introductions and legitimate information on each of the characters – substantial of course for anyone interested in the series, and perhaps even for the characters of the series themselves. Not only has the anime yet to acquaint us with any more than three of the contenders, neither has it done so for its two main characters of paranoid kid, and yandere girl.
However here they all are, propped in front of a wave of attentive bicycles for all to admire.
As can be seen, the panels offer images, alongside the mentioned descriptions, of the 10 other diary holders who have otherwise yet to be revealed – they remained as covert identity-protected blobs within episode one of Mirai Nikki. Little did the characters of this suspenseful series expect their clandestine covers to be blatantly blown to an aggregated audience of bicycles.
Quickly skimming through the panels, one’s eye will be caught by a few competitors who seem a bit “different” than the rest. Observations of the panels imply 7th is a couple, as 7th consists of an obnoxious guy as well as a promiscuous female – though the truth of that matter remains to be seen. As for 12th, he doesn’t appear to be a human – possibly this creature is at some sort of advantage considering his racial status.
A fine act of marketing indeed, the series of images below showcases the panels in their sadistic reign of glory amongst their bicycle advocates. Included as well are two character cards of our favorite diary owners, spotted at the sale of the series’ light novels.
