Fate/Zero Historical Hero Comparison

Oct 9, 2011 @ 16:53 CDT

Expert level otaku have compared the heroes, or servants, of Fate/Zero to their archetypes, the real world or mythological counterparts on which they are based – complete with appropriate imagery.

The servants are all, as we know, resurrected heroes of the past – many of them have been molded to fit Fate/Zero, yet there remains some striking resemblances between Type-Moon’s cast of killers and those legendary beings of modern history. Above you can see six of the revealed servants who are seen within the end sequence – and below, their relevant inspiration.

Saber is singled out below as she’s of course – the shining star of the series:

Saber, aka. Arturia Pendragon

Iskandar

Bluebeard

Hassan

Gilgamesh

Lancer

On another note, one otaku has mentioned “this week I saw this and decided to support Assassin”:

We couldn’t agree more – the Assassin class is simply the epitome of badass. It’s doubtful he’s dead a mere episode in.
