The cutest anime of the fall season continues to viciously bear down all its raw unadulterated cuteness upon otaku as Nyanpire and friends celebrate Halloween in adorable little neko costumes.
Meowlikai, Meaowcifer, or whatever the devious neko’s name is (it seemed to have changed at some point) suggests they celebrate Halloween – though none of the other nekos know what that is. Of course being the brightest of the group, it seemed only expected for Meowcifer to understand and explain it to the rest. As Meowcifer makes mention of candy, Nyanpire becomes quite pleased with this concept of “Halloween” – enthusiastically demanding they all go collect candy for Halloween, just like any neko would.
The nekos agree to meet up later dressed in their costumes – with the moon raised high, Nyanpire yells in fluent Engrish “Trick or treato” whilst flaunting his kawaii pumpkin costume to his master. Chachamaru then enters the scene with his own handmade ghostly costume – a simple sheet over his head with slits for nekomimi. As the two brothers are dressed, they head to reign unspeakably brutal cuteness amongst the land.
Whilst out, we can see Meowcifer skillfully using his neko tongue to shrewdly steal candy from a terrified neko.
Meowcifer now with candy in hand, regroups with Nyanpire and Chachamaru – they wonder where Meowsamune is, though they shortly find out. Meowsamune makes his appearance in a costume they find all too silly – a fleeing soldier. Thus the episode ends with everyone giggling at his expense.
If it is any constellation, we were laughing at him as well.
