A Carnival Phantasm cafe has been erected by the joint forces of Type-Moon and figure manufacturer Good Smile Company – the end-result is an epic room full of exquisite artwork and finely crafted figures.
There are plenty of decorations scattered all throughout the cafe – posters adorn every wall, and not a single table goes without an imprint of assorted awesome screencaps. Even more posters hang from the ceiling, and placed around various nooks, corners, and edges are prop up cardboard characters of the multi-series Carnival Phantasm cast.
The figures on display consist of essentially every official Type-Moon related figure in existence – even Type-Moon’s single Carnival Phantasm excluded critically acclaimed movie series, Kara no Kyoukai, has several Shiki figures on the shelves. Some yet to be released items are found as well such as an Arcueid White Phantasmoon figure in sexy mahou shoujo attire. Other miscellaneous merchandise on exhibit include mugs, buttons, and OSTs.
One object which easily grabbed our attention was the mahou shoujo clad Iliyasviel nendoroid which is by far one of the best nendoroids we’ve ever seen. Scripts from Carnival Phantasm alongside other random items from Type-Moon’s 10th anniversary, including rare illustrations as well as voice actor autographs are all up for fan enjoyment.
The restrooms of the cafe are appropriately labeled with Neko-Arcs for added understanding.
As one visually navigates through this sea of spectacular swag, one may come across several indescript indicators of what to expect next with Carnival Phantasm. Take the Iliya nendoroid for example, perhaps in the upcoming Carnival Phantasm season two, she makes a mahou shoujo appearance.
