Delicious Comiket 80 Cosplaying Eye-Candy

Aug 13, 2011 @ 13:18 CDT

If you didn’t enjoy Comiket’s earlier erotically strange display of weirdo male otaku cosplayers, perhaps this delicious serving of Comiket cosplaying eye-candy will be more on par with your tastes.

This savory style of cosplayer comes sporting a vast variety of mini-skirts, gym uniforms, cropped tops, and an assortment of other rather skimpy clothing – alongside a contrasting collective of not nearly as visually rewarding Celty-san outfits from Durarara and mahou shoujos.

There’s of course also the usual ever-expected Vocaloid cosplayers with a rather sexy Hatsune Miku in what is presumably a bikini – proper terms for the outfit aside, it’s quite as enticing as it is revealing nonetheless.

Several cosplayers don’t appear to be in the highest of spirits, or possibly tired from all the activity, as it is difficult not to notice the worn expressions on a few of their faces with an overall enthusiasm lacking outlook – although it is possible that’s part of the act. Yet it remains a bit bothersome to see some images in which a girl portrays a fatigued face on top of a heavy mask of make-up.

In either case, the most unappealing of them all has to be the Madoka cosplay as there is simply far too much of it. The over 9000 different mahou shoujo cosplayers don’t come off as striking or stunning in the least for the most part – particularly because that character is overused, not because of their skill, which is quite a shame to see wasted.

The definite sexiest of them all is the previously mentioned and above visible Hatsune Miku – leaving us with a painful impression of a tasty piece unfortunately wrapped and sealed in clothing.

  • For whatever reason, to which you likely have already stated quite clearly, Seven, I don’t find much here in this latest display of Comiket to stir my appeal.

Take our bikini-clad Hatsune Miku cosplayer for example. Does she have a sexy appeal about her? Sure. I can appreciate that, but it needs more than that. Much in the same way that a voice actor is appreciated for bringing a character to life with emotion and conviction, so too do I need to feel an allure here that stems not just from sex appeal, but from the person herself.

Many of our other cosplayers, as you’ve said, seem rather tired in many of these pics. They don’t seem to be enjoying themselves as much as I would expect, and so I think to myself why would I want to be there if this is all I have to look forward to. I don’t, at least not if this is all that’s going on.

I’ve always wanted to go to a Comiket, so I’m certainly hoping to see a more spirited performance next time.

Yes definitely, the looks certainly do well to capture attention – although what comes next?

If the cosplayer, like any taking up a role in any profession, is not enthusiastic or appears to be enjoying themselves, they simply bring down the surrounding people within their “sphere of influence” which in this case are the attendees and perhaps even us. Some of these cosplayers were even televised, it’s understandable if we consider they may be worn out from hours of cosplay or the likes, although the end-result is one definitely not working in their favor.

The more tired in appearance few simply give the impression that event is not so thrilling, speaking in general. They would have been better off had they worn a mask like many of those odd male cosplayers earlier.

That Hello Kitty.. Swimsuit (?) wearer looks about 12, it’s weird. As is the flat Celty.
