The third episode of Deadman Wonderland does a full 180 degree u-turn going from the introduction episodes to a serious story changing calamity. Ganta receives a candy (originally stolen by Yoh) as a gift, Ganta stays alive long enough to encounter the Red Man.
The Red Man enters the scene with a rage of vivacity and power massacring several prisoners before coming face-to-face with Ganta. After a small exchange of blows however, the Red Man retreats back into the prison block G.
While Ganta’s obsession with red men continues, Shiro gets irritated by the lack of attention and simple-mindedness of Ganta.
